Livestrong Internationaal
De LIVESTRONG Foundation werkt er sinds 1997 hard aan om de levens van kankerpatiënten en hun dierbaren te verbeteren. Wat begon als een lokaal initiatief, is nu een organisatie die nu in alle delen van de wereld opereert.
Het LIVESTRONG hoofdkantoor zegt over de internationale aanpak het volgende:
‘We we stellen de kanker gemeenschap in staat om de onvervulde behoeften van de overlevenden van kanker aan te pakken. Om dit te doen, stimuleren we samenwerking, kennisdeling en partnerships. Vervolgens ontwikkelen we evidence-based oplossingen om zowel de gemeenschappelijke en unieke problemen, waarmee de overlevenden in de hele wereld worden geconfronteerd, aan te pakken.’
